Goddess of wisdom, war, science and applied art.
Daughter of Jupiter, Minerva was born adorned with weapons and a helmet. Goddess of wisdom and intelligence, she was also the deity of strategic warfare. She invented the war chariot and the bridle for breaking in horses.

Her attributes are: the shield, the olive tree…
The animal associated with her: is the owl, which sees things in the dark which are invisible to men.
Her symbol: the Wisdom.
Minerva and Neptune both wanted to be chosen as protectors of the city. A competition was organized to decide between them : “the one who produced
The most useful thing for the town would have his or her name given to it”. Neptune planted his trident and a horse sprang from the ground. Minerva planted her spear and, from it, an olive tree grew. Minerva was declared the winner; the olive tree was considered to be the more useful of the two, offering shade and oil required by men. The city was thus named Athens.
